Commercial Lawyer

Responsibilities

Commercial Law

  • Draft, review, and negotiate referral agreements, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), service agreement and other commercial contracts
  • Review and advise on terms and conditions for services
  • Review marketing materials for legal compliance, ensuring adherence to advertising regulations and intellectual property requirements
  • Provide day-to-day legal support to commercial and business development teams
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks across commercial operations

Employment & Labour Law

  • Draft, review, and advise on employment agreements
  • Prepare and review termination letters and related documentation
  • Advise on compliance with Cyprus employment and labour legislation
  • Support HR on employee relations matters, disciplinary procedures, and workplace policies

Immigration Law

  • Advise on work permit and residence permit applications for employees and third-country nationals
  • Ensure compliance with Cyprus immigration legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with the Civil Registry and Migration Department and other relevant authorities on behalf of the company
  • Monitor changes in immigration law and policy that may affect the business or its workforce

General

  • Monitor changes in relevant Cyprus legislation and advise the business accordingly
  • Liaise with external counsel where required
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal legal processes, templates, and policies

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Law degree (LLB or equivalent); admission to the Cyprus Bar Association
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cyprus commercial, employment/labour, and immigration law
  • Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements

Languages

  • English — fluent (written and spoken) (required)
  • Greek — fluent (written and spoken) (required)
  • Russian — proficient (written and spoken) (highly advantageous)
